Al regdos - managing partner, co-founder
Al has a 20+ year career in the healthcare finance industry where he audited, underwrote, negotiated and closed over $2 billion in loans to the healthcare industry. Prior to co-founding West Fork, Al was the CEO of Alpine Capital, a specialty finance lender dedicated to the healthcare industry that originated, underwrote and closed over $160 million in loans.
Previously, Al was the Chief Credit Officer for Healthcare Finance Group, LLC (“HFG”), a nationally based healthcare lender where he was an investment committee member and led the business development, underwriting, portfolio management and due diligence functions of the firm. Al’s leadership was instrumental in growing the company from $300 million to over $1.2 billion in assets under management without a single credit loss.
Prior to HFG, Al worked at GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services and Heller Financial as a Vice President in their Portfolio Management, Underwriting and Field Exam departments, where he was responsible for directing a team of portfolio managers, underwriters and field examiners in evaluating, underwriting and managing healthcare credit.
He began his career at Freed Maxick Sachs and Murphy, a public accounting firm in Buffalo, NY. Al has a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Al enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his wife and three children and is an active member of Denver Baptist Church, in Denver, NC.
Andrew Nelson - partner, Co-Founder
Andrew is an accomplished CFO and COO within various services organizations. Over the last decade he’s had experience in many areas of business, including M&A (publicly traded), auditing, due diligence, valuations, commercial lending and financial planning and analysis. Working with companies from start-up to middle market and in roles from accounting to CFO/COO provides Andrew with a thorough, well-rounded view of the target companies, which our clients value and trust.
Andrew has a B.S. in Accounting from Wofford College and a MBA from the University of South Carolina. He enjoys many outdoor activities when he’s not spending time with his wife and three children and is an active member of Hope Community Church in Charlotte, NC.
